Coscript Consulting, LLC was founded in 2013 by Alex Cherepanov after working for 15 years in the digital printing and raster image processing (RIP) industries.

Alex Cherepanov has in-depth knowledge of modern Raster Image Processor (RIP) software, over 25 years of general programming experience. and a passion for delivering clean and efficient software solutions.

Prior to founding this company, Alex Cherepanov was working for Artifex Software for over 7 years in charge of maintenance and enhancement of the PostScript front end and PDF interpreter. Earlier he was working for a digital printing software company, where he integrated several RIP engines with their print server software. During his career, he was:

• Fully responsible for a PostScript front end and PDF interpreter in the Ghostscript RIP engine
• Implemented CPSI-based RIP
• Implemented a printer access protocol (PAP) server.
• Participated in an evaluation of Jaws PostScript interpreter.
• Participated in maintenance of PSIH PostScript interpreter.
• Developed and maintained a PostScript prologue for FlexiSign graphic design application.
• Developed and maintained calibration targets, swatches, and registration marks for various printers, cutters, and spectrophotometers.

Alex Cherepanov was the main author of the PostScript FAQ on WikiBooks. He also actively participates in the open source development.
